AARP Foundation Experience Corps program works with students one-on-one, in grades 1-3, on basic literacy skills. Please check ALL the positions you are interested in applying for:
Tutor: work with students serving at least 4 hours per week 2 days per week
Safety Monitor: serve as a 2nd adult on every tutoring session, listening in on tutoring sessions
Substitute tutor: fill in for tutors when tutor is not available. Must attend all trainings

Background checks : (All AARP Foundation Experience Corps volunteers are required to undergo a background check). Refusing to do so will exclude you from serving in the AARP Foundation Experience Corps program. Not all convictions will prevent your service. However, failure to report convictions prior to the background check will prevent you from serving in the program.
